Our Womenโs Club is growing as more and more women make their way to us. Theyโre seeing friends and neighbours improve their businesses and make more money and they want that for themselves to.
Weโre also getting a lot of questions about our activities. So weโre also reaching out to womenโs groups and surrounding communities to inform them about what we do.
In April, our Project Lead met with the leaders of our Womenโs Club. She updated them about recent developments, presented her plans and asked for feedback.
The Womenโs Club leaders are fully behind the plan and have said that they will support it by taking on more responsibilities. These include helping to recruit new members, being present at more meetings as the number of activities increases and is split across multiple days, and improving/strengthening the oversight of the informal Savings & Loans Club as members and amounts increase.
In return, they asked us to offer them small, occasional compensation. We are taking their feedback seriously and will do as they asked.
Leadership matters and so does recognising the time and effort it takes.
