Mineke Foundation works in Liberia with a simple but powerful focus: education and entrepreneurship.
At Damiefa School, children receive affordable private education strengthened with programmes focused on reading comprehension, art, agriculture, digital skills and life skills.
At the Women’s Club, women and young people receive practical skills training, business training, business coaching and microloans to start and grow their businesses. Together, this creates a practical path towards income generation and greater financial independence.
We do not believe in quick fixes. We work step by step, with local staff, strong community relationships and long-term commitment.

Transparent, practical and long-term
Mineke Foundation was founded in 2009 and seeks to continue the work our founder’s parents started in Dabwe Town in 1968. These roots still shape our commitment today.
We publish annual reports every year, so supporters can see how funds are used and what progress has been made.
Mineke Foundation is fully registered and accredited as an NGO in Liberia. We undergo financial audits every year to maintain our accreditation. Our work is carried out by a local Liberian team, supported by international volunteers and donors.
Our Dutch support foundation is registered as an ANBI in the Netherlands. This means that donations from Dutch taxpayers may be tax-deductible.
We focus on practical change: children staying in school, women growing businesses, families becoming more financially stable and young people gaining skills they can use.
