Our student agriculture programme is one of the most popular activities at Damiefa School. Led by agriculture trainer Joseph, the project has expanded this year as student numbers continue to rise.

Last year, students planted vegetables in recycled cement bags. This year, weโ€™ve added more growing areas across the school grounds, giving each class space to plant and tend their own crops.

Students are now growing peppers, water-greens, okra, potato greens, cabbage, and eddoes. The plants have taken root and each plot is showing healthy growth.

This project teaches our students responsibility, teamwork and real-life agricultural skills. Itโ€™s also one way we promote food security and self-reliance in our community.
