Resource Center

Our Resource Center is intended as a multi-purpose hub with a library, after-school care, computer center and Play Plaza.

It is currently under development and will eventually be a community-focused facility offering a safe, supportive environment for children, youth and adults to develop new skills and explore creative learning. At the moment, it is only used by Damiefa School students, Mineke Foundation staff and participants in our programs.

Key features

Computer lessons

The Resource Center provides basic digital skills to Damiefa School students, our staff and participants in our programs.

Library

A small library stocked with books that support literacy and learning. We also use these books to support the educational curriculum at Damiefa School.

Art, games, and educational activities

The Center offers art education, puzzles, and educational games that encourage creativity, critical thinking and collaborative learning. We also have a collection of indoor and outdoor children’s toys.

Looking forward

We are working on plans to expand the Center’s resources and open it up to people who live in Dabwe Town and surrounding communities. We aim to introduce more educational support (including after-school study classes), expand our library collection to offer access to all the school books on the Ministry of Education compulsory reading list, and increase community access to digital tools.
