Weโ€™re taking a moment to reflect on something that rarely makes the headlines: the safety of our students.

Except for one early injury โ€” a childโ€™s finger caught in a door โ€” we had no major incidents last school year. Other than that, there were no accidents, emergencies or hospital visits due to safety incidents.

That may seem ordinary. But in our context, itโ€™s not.

Everyone, from teachers and support staff to school leadership and parents, plays a part in creating a space where children are safe. In the classroom, on the playground and on their way home.

At Damiefa School, this kind of daily care is part of how we build parent trust and show that quality education also includes emotional and physical safety.
