Home schooling during Ebola, KEEP Liberia

During the Ebola crisis in Liberia, schools were closed. However, many children did not receive home schooling because their parents were unable to provide this. Reasons varied from parents having to spend the day selling at markets to generate income to parents being illiterate.

Mineke Foundation partnered with KEEP Liberia to provide weekly home schooling to about 50 children in Dabwe Town. Using educational materials provided by KEEP Liberia, our team visited children at their homes, focusing on basic skills like reading, writing, and mathematics.

After the Ebola crisis was over, most children joined our Kids Club and attended weekly club meetings at our office.
